The Art of Tree Climbing

Hello. Here is the promised post of Noey tree climbing! She is TOO cute :-) She comes out with comments like, "I am 4 now and I didn't get tall or strong." She has proved that she has though because last fall she couldn't climb this apple tree herself. My favorite comment of hers was when Mom, Dad, and Tim were in Texas. We were sitting at the dinner table eating when, after being deep in thought, she said, "(Sigh).. I turned 4 and... I didn't get taller, I didn't get stronger, AND I didn't even get married!" Any way her are the pictures of her showing me how she can now climb the tree, oh yes, and of course bare-footed!
The start.
Then she slides her way up.
.........

Almost there...

TA-DA!!!

I even got her to pose for me! She is very hit-or-miss with getting pictures, so I was very glad she let me take some of her.

Just a cute one!

Running home victorious!

Kite Flying

Hello! We have been very busy lately with cleaning up the yard and working on the house. It is very nice to finally have spring in Maine! For the past several days we have had very, very nice weather and have been working outside. Right now here are some pictures of Noelle and Mom flying a kite. Also there is a picture of the view from our back yard. Later I am going to post "The Art of Tree Climbing", featuring Noelle. And our very special post, "The Contrast of Boys and Girls". A story of how the Reynolds kids interact with their friends when they come to our house! For now though, enjoy these!!
Timmy also got bundled up to come out and play!

Until next time,

Sewing Projects

Hello! I thought that I would post something that I made today.....

I thought that the dress came out good. It was my first try at it. Although Hannah is modeling it for me, it is supposed to be my cousin Priscilla's 1st birthday dress. I know that Hannah and Cilla are close in size, but I am hoping not to have to make major changes to it for it to fit Priscilla. This is the first time I have made actual clothes (not doll dresses) by myself without help from our great neighbor. (NOTE: I am not trying to pat myself on the back, I just thought you might find it interesting. And aslo to show all of you who gave money towards my awesome sewing machine for my birthday a couple of years ago.) I am planning on making Noey and Hannah one to wear for our cousin Laura's wedding in May. The fabrics have the same delicate print on them like the one for Cilla, just different colors. Okay, well have a great weekend everyone!!!

Egg

Hello! I just wanted to post the picture of the inside of the egg. Yes, there was a yoke in it. It was SOOO tiny! (It was kind of cute.) The little specks of stuff inside the dish is the egg shell. It was so fragile that the shell just crumbled off. Have a great rest of the week everbody!!

Update

Hello again to all. I just thought that I would update you all as it has been a long time since my last post. Mom and Dad and Tim have arrived home from there 9 day trip. Although we knew they were having a good time, we really missed them and are happy to have them home with us.

Sunday morning Noelle and Hannah had a wonderful Easter surprise.... Mom, Dad, and Tim were home!! The rest of us knew they were coming home late Saturday night, but we did not tell the little girls. We celebrated Easter together on Sunday, too. We had a nice day together just relaxing at home.

Noelle proudly shows her chocolate eggs she found during the Easter egg hunt.

Hannah wasted no time and began eating her eggs after finding them.

Rebekah poses for a moment during her egg search.

Monday we re-grouped and went and helped a gentleman with firewood. Tuesday found us with a surprise-to-most visit from our aunt Renee and her kids Kayla and Benjamin. We have been enjoying our time with them before they head home tomorrow.

World's Smallest Chicken Egg??

Well, when I went to do the chickens this evening, I nearly overlooked what was an egg. I stooped down, and, sure enough it was an egg. I really couldn't believe it! It is SO fragile and tiny, I cradled it all the way back to the house. Right now it is in a container in the refridgerator surrounded and padded by napkins. When Mom and Dad get home, we will crack it open to see if there is a yoke. I know that it is kind of wierd that I am actually blogging this, but with not much else going on, I thought it was pretty cool... maybe you will too??? Anyway, here are the pictures!

Here is the egg compared to a quarter.

Here is a regular size egg compared to the little egg, and the little egg is next to a ruler.

I hope you guys got a kick out of this ;-) ~Lindsey~
